It was suitable for those who have a medical conditions that prevent them from exercising in any other way. The programme is designed to provide a number of health and wellbeing benefits to participants such as improved joint mobilisation and circulation, improved muscle strength, balance, posture and coordination through carefully designed planned physiotherapy based exercises.
Unfortunately this service is no longer subsidised, however, it can be offered at a reduced cost per session or via PIP – Personnel Independent Payment or DLA – Disability Living Allowance.
Both these services are acceptable with Vital Stepping Stones.
